Even when people say that the supernatural is not for today, or was only for the setting in the book of Acts, or that it shouldn't be preached or talked about, even worse that it doesn't exist. Honestly that is All heresy. You may argue with this....but I've seen it on others, in my life, even through my ministry. Where in the bible does it say that? The bible say in Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (That's just for starters) on a serious note, we got to stop limiting God. It is easy to blame and say its because people do this or people do that, but we have to get over it. After all, name one perfect person, besides Jesus. What's tiring is the nonsense that is in our churches. We need to grow up. However, I will say that the supernatural is not a license to be weird! I'm not saying we can't be different, but be real in God and don't limit Him. We say we wanna be like Jesus...then do miracles, healings, signs and wonders like Him.
I've seen people get hearing back after I prayed for them and I'm hard of hearing. It's because the Holy Spirit can do it for today and he will use anyone who will say yes and not say hold on let me check my traditional religious egotistical doctrine. I say this because I'm talking about those who are offending God and the Holy Spirit. People don't have a problem with God most of the time, they don't have a problem with Jesus sometimes, but they have a problem with the Holy Spirit too many times! Grow Up. I will also say that we must have character too while we move in the realm of the glory. We must be mature, but not legalistic and idiotic.
I just watched people get new teeth in their mouth. I saw couple of people get instant weight loss during a service this past weekend. I've seen gems fall. I've seen (perhaps angelic) feathers appear from thin air. I've seen gold dust, silver dust, green dust, etc. I will say this, this is NOT to be worshipped, but utimately point to Jesus. Holy Spirit will point you to Jesus who will turn you over to the Father which is the ultimate ideal plan is to get you to LOVE Him. We should talk about this, yes there will be false signs, but God's signs should be GREATER. For example, Pharaoh's priest turned a rod into a snake. Moses/Aaron who threw the staff down did the same thing, but his ate the other one. Hello God will prove Himself more powerful. The battle of Elijah, "where's your GOD?".... remember that. The supernatural is to show the world that He is greater than the power that may be displayed. Witches and Warlocks know that we have this power because they won't dare to go into a place where God is unless they themselves are willing to search for God because if not, even they know they can drop dead. Some of the things I listed may not be in the Bible, but I know that I know they are from God.
Let us steward the gifts of God, not control it! Furthermore, just because God is using another and you have a calling to function in the same capacity, do not get jealous but rather rejoice because we are on the same team. So what he didn't do that through you. The reason why you can't is because you have to deal with issues in your life! I will say that God needs character with supernatural abilities to go hand in hand. Enough is enough with pastors, leaders, and christians who give Christianity a bad name. We are subject Him to shame by doing so. Yes many will do these thing in His name but they will be asked to depart from him because they must KNOW HIM. The purpose is to KNOW HIM.
Another thing, yes we must preach the cross, but don't stop there. That is also a heresy just the cross in itself. Paul and Peter preached the cross, then the RESURRECTION, and then the rest followed. Christianity is nothing without resurrection. Otherwise you are celebration death and not LIFE. He is alive. Jesus made it a point to say that God is the God of the living NOT the dead.
Lastly we more inclined to believe something is evil and then of God......The bible does say they will call evil good, and good evil....It didn't say who would. So we have to watch ourselves and keep ourself in check.
So yes I believe in the supernatural power of God. Some will call me a heretic and a false prophet as they do others but God will deal with them too. I'm rather keep saying YES to God and have fun while doing it! I say all this to encourage those who believe likewise. Let the naysayers say what they want. In the end they increased the boldness to believe and do these things. In the end, they can limit us who believe, stop us, at least it will increase the Power of Jesus Christ even more! We must let God be God! Afterall, He can do whatever HE wants.
