Theme #1: Holy Spirit

1. The ongoing, disconcerting, and misunderstanding for the Personhood of the Holy Spirit and His role in the Godhead.

Why do I think this is one of the major reason the church wholisitically has not experience the fullest potental?

Honestly look at all the debates. Look at all the arguments.  The  Holy Spirit is the Epicenter of every discourse and division. It must stop. How can we, when we have our own interpretation. I could sit here and tell you that he is more than a mystical being that floats around and landing on people's lives. Some people out there will still disagree even with this posting or blog. He is just as much God as the Father and the Son is. Three in one and they are in perfect unity. The triune God. I find it interesting that the first time God is used in the bible in Gen. 1:1 is not singular in form but plural. Although you read it as a singular word. "GOD" but in the hebrew it is plural.

But let me say this....We must treat the Holy Spirit like we would the Father and the Son. He is not your wishlist or someone to command around. Jesus went into Heaven so the Holy Spirit could come down to train us, lead us, guide us, mentor us, use us as a vessel. I was think of Him this way, a person who is possess by a demon and becomes completely Hell bent. However, a person govern by the Holy Spirit will walk in light and not darkness. We will accomplish great and mighty things. In fact being possess by the Holy Spirit, you will be able to emulate the glory and splendor of God. See God as a gentlemen and He will not force Himself upon anyone. However, I see people have a misconception with this statment too. "God is a gentlemen" In today's world that world could mean anything and we'll leave it there. WIth that said, let me clarify something, when the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus, He came upon Him like a dove. Have you ever seen a dove fly lately?  It flutters back and forth. Its like we have this picture in slow motion of this graceful landing. I'm not saying he's rough, but do not make God into something is or not in this case. Lastly, we need to worship and love him as a companion. He is for us and not against us. He is the invisible nature of God. He is the tangible expression of God. He is with us, in us, and upon us.
